I’m the founder of Worthysoot, an online community, where I write and design resources to remind you of your worth—no matter what mess you carry. I’m also an author and mental health advocate, who loves sharing words of hope for when you’re going through a hard time.
I’VE WALKED WITH CLINICAL ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION FOR OVER 12 YEARS.
From a young age, I carried loss, childhood trauma, and mental health problems that made me feel like I’d never be enough.
FEELINGS OF UNWORTHINESS PLAGUED ME. MY PAIN MADE ME QUESTION GOD.
Throughout the lowest seasons of depression, I faced suicidal thoughts and asked God why he wouldn’t provide any relief.
MY IDENTITY FELT SHAKY. MY LIFE WAS A MESS. AND I HAD LOST ALL SIGHT OF HOPE.
I could no longer accomplish things through my own strength or temporarily heal the hurt through romantic relationships. Nothing worked anymore.
BUT IT WAS IN MY DARKEST SEASON THAT GOD REVEALED HE IS ALWAYS FIGHTING FOR US.
My healing journey began when God met me in my suffering. I realized what Satan meant for evil, God meant for good. I began counseling and learned how to fight lies with truth.
NOW I’M HELPING PEOPLE FIND HOPE IN THEIR DARKEST PLACES.
Because you’re not alone and it won’t always feel this way. Hope has a name and his name is Jesus!

That’s why I’m writing and designing resources… to remind you that you’re worthy, no matter what mess you carry.
The uniting of “worthy” and “soot” into one word symbolizes what we inherit from birth: both sin and worth. Everyone has an inherent value because of the God who created us in his image. But the lies we believe can easily build up in our hearts like soot in a chimney.
Worthysoot honors the beauty of this tension by owning our mess, while choosing to live into our true identity. We celebrate the God who brings beauty from ashes. And we walk in confidence, as women who are worthy, loved, and capable—no matter what mess we carry.
I feel all the feelings. Empathizing with others is my (now not so) secret superpower.
I love performing spoken word poetry for churches, schools, and other ministries.
If I ever ask you to coffee, that’s code for… I desperately need a cup of chai or matcha.
I love succulents, but they don’t love me. The last succulent I owned was named Pickle. My bunny ate him.
The enemy, the world, and your own inner critic are hard at work to make you feel like you're not good enough; you’re not strong enough; you’re not “Christian” enough. While they'll tell you everything you're not, Jesus will tell you everything you are and can be. It's time to take back your worth and truly walk in it!
